As the Family Engagement Specialist, she supports our family engagement efforts for the Eastside Education Initiative and our K-12 STEM programs in Santa Clara County. 

Evelyn has worked in education since 2018, working with students from kindergarten to college and children with autism. Since graduating from our LBLA program, she now serves as a board member for Silicon Valley Shakespeare. She is passionate about providing underrepresented and underserved communities with tools and resources to become self-sufficient, especially regarding educational, social, legal, and financial barriers.

Evelyn was proudly raised in San Jose and loves to give back to her community. She is grateful for the social and economic resources her mom received from the community growing up and wishes to continue that cycle. Evelyn’s dream is to invest in the marginalized Hispanic population so that the community can grow and glow.
