The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley is thrilled to invite you to the first Latinx Speaker Series of 2021 happening on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at noon via Zoom! We all know Latinx owned businesses are the fastest growing segment of the U.S small business ecosytem. Now more than ever before more Latinos are starting businesses and leverage community, culture, and technology to run sustainable businesses and employ many.

Join us on as we'll be pulling back the curtains to see what it's like to a Latinx entrepreneurship and hear from a panel of experts who are paving the way for generations to come. As we'll aim to connect, engage, and foster Latinx leadership through the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Silicon Valley, we'd like to empashis the importance of our community to come together to celebrate our existance. The Latinx Speaker Series is about two objectives: 1) bring various sectors of our Silicon Valley Latinx community together 2) to hear what it's like to navigate within those sectors.

Ivette Carolina Agudelo-Lopez Ivette Carolina Agudelo-Lopez - Ivette Carolina Agudelo-Lopez is an EMMY® award-nominated producer. With a broad formation as an actress, producer, and digital marketer. She is the Co-Founder and CEO of 3 Lopez Media Inc, a media company that helps businesses and organizations across the US to tell stories that create and foster meaningful connections using audiovisual, graphic design, and storytelling tools. Javier DiazJavier Diaz (CEO & Co-Founder) - Over 25 years of heading Managed Services and Staffing solutions to leading Global Technology Companies, Javier has placed the advanced Engineers and R&D teams who have developed some of the leading products we use today. As the CEO of OSI he has created a go-to firm for many of Silicon Valley’s top companies who need specialized experts in ground-breaking technologies. As CEO he has built a firm that supplies all levels of staffing, including scaling teams through complete RPO services, to diverse companies from start-ups to the Fortune 100. Javier is highly customer-focused and is deeply committed to client growth and success.

Joe LopezJo Lerma-Lopez has always had a passion for innovating in order to generate change. In the 90’s, Jo’s creativity manifested itself San Jose’s Upstairs Records, which at the time was the only independent record label in the country to have songs reach the Top 10 portion of the Billboard chart multiple times. Jo was a trailblazer in the music industry, at the forefront of bringing independent artists to the mainstream marketplace. For her entire career, she worked to fill a void in radio across the U.S., convincing radio programmers that Latinos could share the playlist with the pop icons of the time. Jeniffer GarciaJennifer Garcia is the Interim CEO at Latino Business Action, whose mission is to strengthen the United States by empowering Latino business owners to grow.  The goal is to double the number of $10+ million, $100+ million, $1+ billion Latinx businesses by 2025.

Under her leadership, she oversaw four successful cohorts of the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative Education (SLEI-Ed) Scaling Program empowering nearly 300 Latino and Latina entrepreneurs to complete this prestigious program.  Her contributions have been significant in developing the national ecosystem of scaled Latino and Latina small businesses across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Prior to LBAN, Jennifer spent 12 years at Bloomberg L.P. She managed the West Coast buy-side trade order management product specialist team and the electronic trading team. Previously she was responsible for managing a $6 million portfolio and C-suite relationships. Throughout the years, Garcia has illustrated distinguished passion and service to the Latino community. She is a participant and graduate of the inaugural class of the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley Latino Board Leadership Academy, with the mission of recruiting and training Latinos to serve as potential board members.
