Education Excellence
2021 Latinos in Technology Graduating Scholars
2021 Latinos in Technology Graduating Scholars
Ecstatic to congratulate our Latinos in Technology Scholars for graduating this year! We always have an overwhelming sense of joy and happiness when we see Latinx scholars in their cap and gown. Many of these scholars are entering the workforce looking not only to make an impact in the high-tech industry but also to give back to their community. A few of our scholars have already secured jobs! Some will be returning back to school to pursue a post-graduate degree. The future looks very promising for our community in Silicon Valley.

Although only 3% of the Latinx population in Silicon Valley make up the high-tech workforce, these scholars along with many others are the change we seek in order to improve the quality of life for the Latinx community in our region. We wish them the very best in their pursuit of obtaining a career in STEM-related fields. To learn more about the Latinos in Technology Initiative click here.

HFSV Summer Education Programs 2021

Throughout this year, the Hispanic Foundation Team has completely shifted its efforts to transition all STEM education, college prep, and parent education programs to online learning platforms. This summer will be no exception as our virtual learning courses are ready to launch this month through August! Convening and Engaging

The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley grew out of a special event, the Hispanic Foundation Ball which took place for the first time in 1990. For the last 32 years, this annual event has not only been the signature event for the Hispanic community of Silicon Valley to convene and celebrate successes, but also a crucial source of funding for the organization. As much as we are mourning the many lives lost due to the pandemic, the Latinx Community of Silicon Valley is resilient, has grit, and will move forward. At this year’s annual event we plan to celebrate exactly that!

Your support is needed more than ever! Watch the video above and click here to learn more about the Hispanic Foundation Celebration. Please save the date for Saturday, October 16, 2021. Seating will be limited at the in-person event. The event will be live-streamed and you can reserve your virtual seat here. If you are interested in being a sponsor please email Clara Roa at clara@hfsv.org.
