Recap: A Conversation with Latinx Venture Capitalist
On Wednesday, August 5, 2020 the Latinx community of Silicon Valley gathered for the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley’s second Latinx Speaker Series - A Conversation with Latinx Venture Capitalists. It was a year ago that we held our first Latinx Speaker Series event in downtown San Jose. In 2019, 350 members of the Latinx community of Silicon Valley were delighted to listen to Netflix’s Francisco “Paco” Ramos talk about the need to elevate the dialogue and conversation about Latinx stories in TV and movies by Latinx people and for the Latinx Community. The event was planned for April but became a virtual gathering due to the COVID 19 pandemic. 130 people attended the webinar and listened to four Latinx Venture Capitalists offer their insight and perspective on what it’s like to be Latinx in Venture Capital.
